Though Game of Thrones *just* ended, and Winds of Winter is still being written, George RR Martin is not slowing down. In fact, he’s probably picking up more speed now than ever before.

In his latest blog update, the author posted a melancholy piece about the series finale of the HBO show based on his books. In the post he brings up all of the other projects that he’s working on, from more Westeros-based shows, to Wild Cards, to books, to… video games?

Martin noted that he’s working with a Japanese developer on a game. This isn’t the first time this has been mentioned. Recently, rumors floated around that he was working with From Software, developers of Bloodborne and the recent Sekiro, consulting and world-building for a new game that would be published by Bandai Namco. Those same rumors point to a boss-battle game in the style of Dark Souls but with a more royal/kingdom-based twist.

We’ll find out… eventually. Let’s just hope he gets those books finished so that we can find out if his thoughts were accurately brought to life on the screen in the end.
