A touching story about a God of War and death and blood
Last year’s God of War for the PlayStation 4 was a phenomenal game. I’m still playing it, and loving every second of my experience. It’s worth going back to, if nothing more than to be in awe of the final product.
Sony’s Santa Monica Studio earned high praise for the game in the end, but it wasn’t an easy process to get there. In a brand new documentary by the studio, the developers go behind the scenes of the five year development process of the game. The film shows the ups and downs, the tensions, the happiness and crushing defeat, and the ultimate moments of delivering the final product.
It’s a fantastic piece, and I could very much recommend it to any game developer or creative as a sort of required viewing.
