E3: Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot brings the intensity

Relive the birth of the Super Saiyan

CyberConnect2 and Bandai Namco reconnect for the next huge Dragon Ball game. Kakarot will retell the tale of Dragon Ball Z leading up through the Frieza saga, in a fusion of action and RPG elements.

The game will not be an open world adventure, however, instead focusing on areas opening up in time as the story progresses. This is, Bandai Namco states, so that the plot can be more true to the show’s original story.

The game was first announced as Project Z earlier this year, but now that the game is in its final stretches, the full name has been revealed. The development team shared a lengthy play session of the game on IGN earlier today, which you can watch below.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot launches in early 2020 for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
