Call of Duty: Mobile brings nostalgic flair when it launches October 1

Fans looking for a free experience might have found their mark

Though Call of Duty has appeared on mobile platforms before, it never truly took the form of the original titles. Now, with Call of Duty: Mobile, Activision (and Tencent!) are bringing classic and modern CoD multiplayer to smaller devices.

CoD:M will feature familiar modes like Deathmatch, Free-For-All, and Search and Destroy, maps from CoDBlops and Modern Warfare, and more classic content. The modern touches include a Battle Royale mode and ATVs.

With the Modern Warfare reboot dropping later in October, Call of Duty: Mobile may capture a good audience as an appetizer when it launches October 1 almost everywhere Google Play and App Store are established.
