Doom Eternal delayed to 2020

Doom Eternal delayed to 2020

Need to make the demons more demonic, obviously

Bethesda and id have announced a delay to the hotly anticipated Doom Eternal. The game, which was due to arrive in November for consoles and PC, has now been pushed back to March 20, 2020. Bethesda states that the game needs more polish, and the pushed date will help it. It will also get it out of the chaotic and extremely-packed 2019 holiday season — but then March 2019 looks to be even more loaded with games. The Switch version will launch at a date later than the other versions, as the initial delay likely has a domino effect on the porting process.

Along with the delay news comes a few other notes:

DOOM 64, which was set to arrive in November, will now also be pushed back to March 20, and will be a preorder bonus for those who are getting Eternal.

Invasion Mode, which is the hyped multiplayer experience in which players appear in others’ games as demons, will now be released in an update after the game’s launch.
