Xbox Game Pass adds Final Fantasy, Yakuza, and more

Literally thousands of RPG hours

There’s a very good chance that you won’t get to finish every newly announced Xbox Game Pass game within the year. At its X019 event today, Microsoft revealed a slew of new games arriving for the console, and that includes a plethora of time-consuming RPGs and experiences that you might struggle to get through completely, even if you somehow had the time.

SquareEnix revealed the Final Fantasy series is hitting the service in Spring 2020, featuring games VII-XV, including the remastered VIII and even all three XIII games. No, Final Fantasy MMORPGs XI and XIV will not make the cut initially, but everything else seemingly will. Also, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will hit the service as well.

SEGA revealed that the Yakuza series is finally hitting the console, with Zero, Kiwami 1 and Kiwami 2 arriving next year. The Witcher 3 is also coming to the service, as well as Rage 2 and Remnant: From the Ashes (available today) and Wasteland 3 (next year).

Not enough stuff? The company will also bring 1 month of EA Access, three months of Discord Nitro, and six months of Spotify Premium to subscribers. New subscribers can jump in for just $1 for the first three months, starting… now. Finally, if that wasn’t enough, game streaming will become a part of Xbox Game Pass starting next year.
