Psychological horror looks to have us venture deeper into our minds
If there’s any developer that knows how to tell a story built around the human mental experience, it’s Ninja Theory. (Honestly, do they even make a bad game?) Though the now-Microsoft owned studio is currently working on Hellblade: Senua’s Saga for the Xbox Series X, they’re also experimenting with another project.
Well, Project: Mara, to be exact.
Mara is being billed as an experience that will explore “mental terror, based on real lived experience accounts and in-depth research” and will focus on the “horrors of the mind.” The team is also focusing on its impressive graphical tech, and creating a digital human that’s as realistic as possible. And… That’s all we know! There’s no release date or platform (but we can likely guess the latter). Until then… uh… stay tuned?
