Uncharted announced for PlayStation 4 in the most minimal video possible

Something something 15 years something something.

Someone was betrayed by someone else, and is looking for revenge.

That’s all we know in this announcement video of Naughty Dog’s PS4 iteration of Uncharted. There’s no Drake, no Sully, no Chloe (swooon) and no Elena. No zombies, no Mayans, no Hindu gods, no nuthin. All we know is that there’s a voice and a seemingly pirate-ish map involved.

The voiceover, as revealed by Naughty Dog’s Anna Hennig, is done by actor Todd Stashwick.

We knew it was going to happen eventually, as the wildly popular series is one of the biggest sellers on the PS3 (and Vita) and is a staple of the PlayStation brand. All bets are on Uncharted 4 being the name.

UNEDUCATED GUESS TIME:

If we had to put our money on any possibilities, it would be that one of Drake’s former accomplices in some tomb raiding excursion was trapped/left for dead by our hero, and is now out for revenge. I’m going to assume that more playable “flashback” sequences are going to take place.

If they want to keep introducing Drake’s past to us, and shoehorning plot elements in, then this could get complicated very fast.
