E3 2014: Nintendo GameCube controller bundle coming this holiday

Nintendo announced that it will be releasing a Super Smash Bros. for Wii U controller bundle this holiday during its E3 2014 Digital Event. The bundle will consist of a Nintendo Gamecube controller, adapter, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and will retail this holiday for $99.99.

The adapter will allow up to four GameCube, WaveBird, or the new “retro” GameCube controller released alongside the game to interface with the Wii U through the console’s two USB ports.

The standalone adapter will retail for $19.99, whereas the “retro”-branded controller will go for $29.99., so the bundle will save you a good $20 or so, if you care about being able to use those controllers.
