The Sonic the Hedgehog movie comes to digital on March 31

GOTTA GO FAST… to your TV

With (hopefully) all of us practicing social distancing and staying the heck at home, it’s natural for places like movie theaters to suffer and close. And while it absolutely sucks for the folks who are working at the establishments, the film industry is doing what it can to recover slightly, pushing several recent and upcoming releases to digital right out of theaters.

Sonic the Hedgehog, which was released a little over a month ago, is coming to digital services on March 31. Just recently it took over top spot for highest grossing video game movie in the US, beating out last year’s Detective Pikachu.

Sony’s Bloodshot, based on the Valiant comic books, just hit theaters last week and will now be moving to digital on March 24. Disney/Pixar’s Onward arrived on digital last night (and will hit Disney+ on April 3). Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker also hit digital early last week, and Frozen II arrived on Disney+ last Sunday, three months ahead of schedule. The Invisible Man and Emma are now available for digital rental. Birds of Prey and The Gentlemen are arriving March 24th. And finally (for now), the upcoming Trolls World Tour, which is supposed to hit theaters in late April, will arrive digitally for rental day and date.

That’s a lot of streaming about to take place!
