The new Batman puts on the mask
We’re still a ways off from Matt Reeves’ The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson as the latest iteration of the Caped Crusader, hitting theaters. During DC’s Fandome, we at least got our first glimpse at what the film will likely be about — and our first real look at the new spin on the hero.
The trailer features Batman, Catwoman, Joker hoodlums, and riddles (it’s The Riddler, guys) returning to a darker take on the character akin to Batman Begins as opposed to the recent DCEU stuff. And it’s justifiably so — this iteration of the hero is in his own universe, not tied to the Justice League-verse that’s still spawning films.
The Batman arrives in theaters in 2021, along with everything else DC related.
