Atari reveals Mini Pong Jr portable

Your next retro gizmo might be the most retro of all

Atari and UNIS Games are bringing yet another retro console to the market; this time it’s the original Pong. The Mini Pong Jr portable device will do one thing and one thing only: play Pong. That’s it! It doesn’t go online, it doesn’t have a collection of Pong variations, it doesn’t have customization. It just plays Pong. The device will allow for one or two players, with ten AI difficulty settings should you choose to be alone.

The device even has a giant 7.9 inch LCD panel to view the glorious black and white visuals and giant pixels. A USB power cord is included, but doesn’t use a built-in lithium battery. Instead, standard rechargeable batteries come in the box, should you choose to play without being plugged in.

It looks like a cute tiny Pong table, but it’s at a bare minimum in effort. The preorders will go live “soon” as the Mini Pong Jr will only be available online. The US distributor will be Arcade1UP.
