It’s a lot, apparently
With the PS5 launch coming up in November, Sony has been somewhat secretive as to the special sauce behind the device. This week, however, the company opted to lift the covers off — literally.
In a video posted to their blog, Sony’s Yasuhiro Ootori takes apart the PS5, noting how the panels are easy to remove (and maybe opening the way for some exterior customization) and how to switch the device from vertical to horizontal. Hint: it’s a bit more work that you’d think. Also in the video, the hardware engineer shows how to install SSDs, which may be a bit more complex than Microsoft’s easy slot solution.
