Super Nintendo World opens in Universal Japan in February

Mario comes to life early next year

Universal Studios Japan has revealed that its Super Nintendo World theme park will officially open in February 2021.

The theme park has been in production in Japan for several years now, with various leaks arriving over the last several months. It was initially set to open this year, but, you know, COVID. There’s now a new date: February 4th, 2021. The theme park company revealed a Mario Kart ride, which will be an on-rails experience in which each passenger gets an AR headset to wear for the ride, presumably to experience some level of interactivity.
