Xbox Cloud Gaming to hit iOS, PC starting today

Will function using Rainway tech to stream through browsers

Beginning today, Microsoft will send invitations to select members of Game Pass Ultimate to beta test Cloud Gaming on their Apple devices. the company has announced the move, which it first detailed last year, in hopes to bring its service outside of Apple’s App Store structure. Partnering with software company Rainway, Microsoft is able to bring the Cloud Gaming service to mobile browsers on iOS and to Windows 10 PCs.

The Xbox Cloud Gaming limited beta will kick off today, as players can log into xbox.com/play through their device to check out around 50 games. Subscribers can use Edge, Chrome, or Safari to access the service, and will be able to use the native touch screen controls or a Bluetooth controller (for iOS).
