Nintendo gives release dates for Pokémon Legends, Diamond & Pearl remakes

The Pokémon Company reveals dates for its next big projects

Nintendo has given updated release dates for its upcoming Pokémon projects. The news was revealed today in the lead-up to E3, as the second half of the year is starting to materialize. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will launch on November 19, 2021 for the Switch, while Pokémon Legends Arceus will hit the Switch on January 28, 2022.

Diamond and Pearl will be sold separately and in a combo pack, much like Sword and Shield are.

What may be interesting is the timing of the release dates. With rumors swirling about the next Switch getting close to production, the Arceus timing may indicate that the fabled Switch Pro may launch in the window between the Holidays and Q1 of 2022, lining it up for a launch that would be about 5 years after the original Switch debuted.

We’ll likely find out more about these Pokémon games in the coming weeks and months as gaming news takes over every free moment of our lives.
