Diecast? More like ALIVEcast!
Hot Wheels Unleashed, the upcoming game from Mattel and Milestone, has given us a look at the 66 cars that will be available to play on the virtual tracks.
From classic Hot Wheels cars like Boneshaker, to versions of famous vehicles like the Batmobile and the DeLorean Time Machine from the Back to the Future series, to real world vehicles (Audi R8, yessss) the game will bring the models into the experience with realistic rendering of the diecast materials. From plastics to metals, to the wheels themselves, the precision required to make the cars look accurately like toys (lighting effects, BUMP MAPS) could be a treat for fans.
The developers note that the cars will be unlocked through progress across the game’s several modes, and offer the ability to disassemble and reassemble the vehicles to customize them for improvements.
Hot Wheels Unleashed arrives on Xbox, Switch, PlayStation, Epic Game Store, and Steam on September 30th.
