Halo, Sonic 2, and more trailers to melt your eyes on a Monday night

They did the Sonic 2 thing!

We are knee deep in new releases in games, sports, movies, TV, music, and everything else that the entertainment world can bring us. There’s an almost continuous influx of STUFF that we can consume, and that’s not even including the food that we kinda need to consume.

Anyhoo, it’s a perfect time to continue to keep us hyped until we burst at the seams. Today we’ve been treated to a bunch of new trailers for all kinds of geek-level IP, and it’s sure to at least help us burn off a few of the calories from Pi Day.

The newest trailer for the Halo TV series is here, alongside the first mostly positive reviews of the initial episode premieres. This clip shows a bit more of the sci-fi & visual effects sides of the upcoming show. It debuts on March 24th on Paramount+.

The final Sonic the Hedgehog 2 trailer goes all on in the wild video game inspiration of the movie, with Robotnik flying around in egg ships, the use of Chaos Emeralds, the appearance of Tales and Knuckles, and that dooooope new poster at the top that copies the original Sonic 2 game box art.

Sonic 2 arrives in theaters on April 8th.

The Boys Season 3 is coming to Amazon, and we absolutely cannot wait. The Butcher is back, now seemingly more powerful, but we’re also treated to a couple new characters too, like Soldier Boy and Crimson Countess. The show has really pushed the limits as to what super heroes are like behind the scenes — you won’t see the Avengers doing this on camera, but maybe Thor isn’t the best due when he’s really drunk? The Boys returns on June 3rd.

Finally, the Umbrella Academy is also back for Season 3, and also showing how terrible super heroes can be behind the scenes. When we left them at the end of Season 2, they had seemingly saved their timeline but created an alternate group of heroes known as the Sparrow Academy. In this first teaser, it looks like there isn’t going to be any handshake to kick off their acquaintance. Season 3 lands on Netflix on June 22nd.
