Official Switch 2 Pokémon Legends: Z-A info revealed alongside date

Ahead of the launch of the Switch 2, The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have revealed that the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A game will hit shelves on October 16, 2025. Originally scheduled for early 2025 before being pushed into the back half of the year, the latest game in the series now has a firm date for both the Switch and the Switch 2 Edition versions.

Those looking to get into the games should note that the Switch version will run on both, but the Switch 2 edition will include improved graphics and framerates. Both physical and digital versions of the Switch game can be upgraded via a $10 “upgrade pack” on the eShop. Prices for the games, according to Serebii, should be about $60 for the Switch version and $70 for Switch 2. Digital preorders begin on June 5th — Switch 2 Day.
