[Review] Razer Kraken Kitty V2 – Gengar Edition

A stylish headset with some impressive features, perfect for fans of everyone’s favorite Pokemon

The most important Pokemon on the planet is Gengar and I will not expound upon this any further. You will just have to trust me and take this as an undeniable fact. I am not biased. Please do not take the fact that I have a Gengar tattoo as bias.

When we had the opportunity to review the Pokemon accessories from Razer just recently I was very excited that this meant the doors might be open for us in the West to finally recieve the Gengar Edition gear they had announced for other regions. And lo and behold here we are! My long desired Razer Kraken Kitty V2s Gengar Editions are here and in my hands… well, they’re on my head but the point stands.

Purple accents, matte finish and rich lighting (and a headband that surprised me in its fit) means that this is a great headest to have on display and use. The only aspect I like the least is that the microphone isn’t retractable.

This isn’t the most professional level Razer headset, but it isn’t supposed to be. The Kraken Kitty V2 Gengar Edition is a perfect representation of the big Pokemon scamp’s spikey hair and pointy ears, complete with hidden Gengars in the cups and customizable RGB Gengar silhouettes on the outer cups.

It’s truly everything I desired out of a headset like this, and one I’m going to be treasuring for a long, long time.

The Kraken Kitty V2 Gengar Edition is available to preorder for $139.99 from Razer’s website with a September 29, 2025 release date.
