Square Enix announces Final Fantasy Fan Festival 2026

The Fest is back for another year of Festin’

Final Fantasy XIV Producer and Director, Naoki Yoshida a.k.a Yoshi-P, released a special message video in celebrating the game’s 12th anniversary. In it he thanked the players that continue to make Final Fantasy XIV a part of their lives (mine included, everyday).

As part of the video Yoshi-P announced plans to host Final Fantasy Fan Festival 2026 in three cities:

  • Anaheim, California – Anaheim Convention Center – April 24-25, 2026
  • Berlin, Germany – Messe Berlin, hub27 – July 25-26, 2026
  • Tokyo, Japan – Makuhari Messe – October 31-November 1, 2026

I went to FanFest 2023 in Las Vegas. While I did not have a ticket to attend the event, I still went to meet up with members of my Free Company (shoutout to the Tonberry Knights, TKN, in Excalibur). I had a blast just being in the convention center and talking to other Warriors of Light. Here’s hoping to actually attending the event this time!

To say I’m excited is an understatement. I’m not saying that I did not enjoy my time in the island of Tural and the many adventures our Warrior of Light experienced there, but Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail received a lot of mixed reactions from me after I finished the base game. I will say though, the last couple of patches have been HIGHLY enjoyable. A new expansion should help make current players excited and bring back some old ones.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on PC, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, and Xbox.

You can find me in Dynamis – Kraken with the Kraken’s Call Free Company.
