The next racer in the best racing series heads to a great new location
Forza Horizon is possibly our favorite car-based racing series (sorry Sonic) and we’ve been waiting for a new entry since FH5 in 2021. The game also launched just earlier this year on PlayStation 5, rocketing to the top of the charts and sticking around there. Now, Xbox took to its Tokyo Game Show stream to reveal that the next game is in the works, and it’s not too far away.
Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan, with developer Playground Games working extensively with a cultural team to make sure that it’s capturing the setting accurately. In fact, they’ve stated that part of the reason it took this long was due to making sure the technology was able to catch up to their vision. While not too many specific locations have been announced, the dev team does want part of the focus to be a Tokyo city that’s full of light and tech and scale balanced against a countryside that is serene and stunning — with the big seasonal shifts in tow too.
The video is just a tease for the game, as it won’t arrive until sometime in 2026 on Xbox and PC (and later on PS5). But fans and car junkies can expect more news in the early part of the year.
