Hit the courts, go on an adventure, with BABY WALUIGI

I’m a sucker for (good) Mario Tennis games, and while the Switch’s Aces was fine enough it felt like it was missing that extra little oomph. Well, Nintendo has heard my calls and at today’s Direct announced Mario Tennis Fever, the next game in the series.

There are two HUGE things that make us giddy about this release.

First: 38 CHARACTERS! That’s the BIGGEST ever in the series. Add in the ability to slide (finally!) and we have possibly the best actual tennis experience in the series.

Possibly the COOLER aspect is the new Adventure Mode, which has the Mario team turned into babies on a trek to defeat monsters in a full little story mode.

Mario Tennis Fever arrives on February 12, 2026 on Switch 2.
