Insomniac drops some beautifully murderous Wolvie action
It’s been a long time since Wolverine was first announced, and radio silence since then. “We’re still working on it, we promise” is something we heard regularly from Insomniac. “But we’re not ready to talk about it now. Please play our other products.”
Well, that all changed today during Sony’s latest State of Play. The company finally revealed a brand new trailer for the game, not only showing off gameplay (see below!) but also revealing the actor that is playing as the hero.
Australian actor Liam McIntyre will take on the sideburns and winged mask and mental anguish of the character, all while committing incredible violence against a variety of enemies. Insomniac want fans to know that yes, they’re staying true to the character, right down to the copius amounts of blood that Logan causes to pour out of those who do wrong.
The game will also feature appearances by other Marvel characters, like Mystique and Omega Red, and promises to fully embrace the X-universe in all its glory — right down to the giant Sentinel at the end.

Marvel’s Wolverine arrives on PlayStation 5 in fall 2026, but Insomniac plans to share more information in Spring.
