Two of the best Mario games of all time getting remastered together
Nintendo is full in for Super Mario’s 40th Anniversary celebrations, announcing the Mario Galaxy movie and other projects. Games are obviously important, and so they’re giving us some rocking new old projects.
Super Mario Galaxy was released as a part of Mario’s 35th anniversary celebrations in a package already, but that sucker’s out of print. Now, though, fans can get the game in a special upcoming two-pack with the arguably better Super Mario Galaxy 2. The collection will be released on October 2, 2025, and feature the games updated, running better on Switch and Switch 2.
To celebrate the game(s) a special updated storybook will be in each game, with a true physical copy releasing soon as well.
Finally, in news for Dali only, there are two gorgeous new amiibo dropping for the games (and movie), coming April 2, 2026, just before the movie hits theaters.
Mario is back! At least, the old games are.
