Virtual Boy coming to NSO, Nintendo does their most insane announcement ever

A massive WTF moment in the latest Direct has us virtually vibrating

Nintendo has essentially forgotten about its lowly Virtual Boy. The very niche system, was brushed away, almost never spoken of at the Big N. Even the 3DS could have brought some of that magic back, but it didn’t.

Well, in possibly the most insane way, Nintendo remembers that the platform exists — and it’s coming to Nintendo Switch Online.

AND WITH A FULL VIRTUAL BOY CONSOLE ACCESSORY.

The NSO addition will bring 14 games to the platform over time. But how to you play a 3D console? Well, by dropping your Switch and Switch 2 into a full plastic Virtual Boy. The accessory will let players mount their console inside, stick their face into the enclosure, and use the Joy Con to play the game in 3D(ish) game in glorious red & black.

If you can’t afford the big plastic accessory, Nintendo will also be offering a cardboard version (or you can probably that that old LABO set and drop you OG Switch into it).
