Hello Kitty Island Adventure Nintendo Switch 2 review: It’s the same but better

Hello Kitty Island Adventure Nintendo Switch 2 review: It’s the same but better

Hello Kitty finally gets a native Switch 2 edition, and it’s definitely the version to own.

By now you’re either a Hello Kitty Island Adventure stan or you’re not, but if you like Animal Crossing then you should be. We’ve talked about this game extensively in the past, and we liked it each time.

Moving on over from the Switch version to the Switch 2 version — playing both versions on the Switch 2 — is immediately noticeable. While the Switch 2 version doesn’t have a TON of new content (there’s some mouse usage, which acn be finnicky, and camera multiplayer) the improved speed and resolution while being on a handheld makes this the definitive edition. There are absolutely minimal visual fidelity issues, with the smoothness especially looking great on the Switch 2 when in handheld mode.

It’s been finetuned and finetuned, but Hello Kitty Island Adventure is hitting its peak here with a lot of content already in tow for those wishing to go deeper into the Sanrio experience.
