Mashing genres for more vampire action
Well well well, this is a surprise. After all of the continued updates for the excellent Vampire Survivors, developer poncle has revealed a spin-off. Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors is a fast yet casual deckbuilder that aims to have the speed and feel (and chaos?) of the main game but by putting it into a different experience. Same flavor, new wrapping, in other words.
It will let players approach it however they want, whether it’s with a dedicated tactic or fast and loose and shooting from the hip. The game will take place in many of the same locales as the original, with moving up and down dungeon floors a part of the game. Players can summon survivors for effects and stack cards for long combos, all in the name of doing stuff and things. It’s a rogue-lite, so expect a lot of levelling up.
The game is just the first in a series of spin-offs, which poncle is working on with other developers while the core team works on their next big secret project. It’ll hit every platform in 2026 like a vampire card IN YOUR FACE.
