The new park is an EVOLUTION of ideas
PokéPark Kanto is a bit of a curious thing. It’s not a full massive park like what Big Papa Nintendo has in Universal Studios, but rather it’s literally a sort of strolling, cozy park experience. That’s what The Pokémon Company is going for, that cozy vibe where you happen upon the little monsters in the wild, snap a few pics, and then continue on your journey.
It’s cute? I guess we can say that. Yeah, it looks cute.

It also looks very simple. A part of Tokyo’s Yomiuriland Amusement Park, PokéPark Kanto features two areas: a strolling walk where Pokemon statues depict the creatures in different locations, and a central area that has a Pokemon Center, a couple of small rides and an area for a stage show. It’s not going to set the world on fire, but I don’t think Pokemon necessarily wants to right now anyways.
Tickets to the quaint little area go on sale through a lottery to Japanese residents on November 21st for a full opening on February 5th, 2026. It’s interesting to note that this park carries the name KANTO in it, which may imply that future similar parks may arrive around the world in their respective, alternat PokeUniverse locations.
