Charles Entertainment Cheese and friends rescue Christmas in THE NEW INSTANT HOLIDAY CLASSIC
Chuck E. Cheese was the holy land for kids in the 80s and 90s. It was THE PLACE TO BE, and only someone like Nolan Bushnell could bring that bizarre magic to us. The chain is still around but now we can only go whenever our nephews throw a birthday party there. Anyhoo, feeling like a relic of the Eighties is a key part of the experience, and now that experience is emanating onto video. Back in 2024 the Chuck E. Cheese cartoon arrived, and this year there’s a Christmas special where the mouse and friends plan a soiree for Santa.
Now, why would we care? Well, A) see above. Chuck E. Cheese was home to so many arcade games that were formative to us, so it’s noteworthy. And B) there are a billion voice actors in this animated gem that have games experience, including Nolan North. So it’s like Nathan Drake is in this!
