The Echo Aviation Controller puts a compact flight stick in our HAPPY HANDS

So many buttons and switches, we’re FLYING

It’s well known that Team SideQuesting is a sucker for controllers. We’re also suckers for racing wheels, racing sims, spaceships and flight sims. We love to fiddle with all of it. Honeycomb Aeronautical understands this, and seems to have cameras in our homes as they’ve obviously been spying on our gaming habits. The company has announced the Echo Aviation Controller, a wildly cool-looking flight controller that may just convert us from a giant flight stick to something more handheld.

The controller takes all of the switches and buttons and levers needed to make something like Microsoft Flight Simulator work with precision and puts it into a truly compact form, appending everything into a traditional gaming form factor.

The device has levers and slides on the front, alongside a dial and interchangeable switch caps for customization. Hall Effect sticks complete the precision in the piece. The rear features unique slide switches as well, something we’ve never really seen in a gaming controller.

With all of the switches comes a great aesthetic on the front and what appears to be a grippy, friendly texture on the back.

The controller will be available in December 2025 for PC & Mac and in 2026 for consoles, and is currently compatible with X-Plane 11 & 12, Prepar3D and Microsoft Flight Simulator — and we’re willing to line up and book our flight to anywhere to get our hands on it.
