The original raider of tombs is back to raid the original tombs!
There have already been a few remasters and reissues of that very first Tomb Raider game, and while they’ve been met with decent results now and again they generally feel like they’re from that bygone era. No longer, though! Amazon Game Studios, Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog took to the Game Awards stage to announce that a full reimagining/remake is in development.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a full big return to that original world, mixing the game’s heritage with it’s modern iterations, into something new and yet familiar. It’s all about that climbing, shooting, swinging and jumping that made the 1998 game so popular, so it could satisfy both new and long-time fans.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis arrives on PC, PlayStation and Xbox in 2026.
