Show Ryu, Ken and the whole crew, please and Zenku

When the Street Fighter movie was anounced, we were morbidly curious as to how this latest iteration would turn out. Then, the cast started being announced and we were EXTREMELY CURIOUS. This group of folks has varying film experience, and how would they even LOOK as who they’re supposed to be playing as?

During the Game Awards we got our answer and it’s proper bonkers. Like, absolutely bonkers.

The Street Fighter movie features a lot of callbacks to the games, from wild hairstyles to character cameos to even that bonus stage. It’s going all in on the video game aspect of it, unabashedly, and you know what? I’m totally okay with that. We don’t need a serious take, a realistic take, a heartwarming or narrative heavy or existential take, we just sometimes need a goofy-ass goofy video game movie.

This certainly looks the part.

Street Fighter hits theaters in 2026.
