Get your 16-bit groove on with some of Marvel’s retro finest

Marvel Comics had some wild, wild games in the 80s and 90s. Sure, we fondly remember the fighting games, but before those were projects that were leaning into the licensed video game gold rush of the NES and beyond. And while those games had been lost to time, Limited Run Games is teaming with Marvel and Konami to finally bring them to modern days.

MARVEL MaXimum Collection will bring 6 “classics” together to prime us for what is actually a pretty incredible year for Marvel fans (TOKON is releasing this Summer, there’s some good comic book angles, and Doomsday is sure to blow up over Christmas).

The games include:

  • X-Men: The Arcade Game
  • Captain America and the Avengers
  • Spider-Man & Venom: Maximum Carnage
  • Venom & Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety
  • Spider-Man & X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge
  • Silver Surfer

While these are but a small amount of the many, many Marvel Comics licensed games that launched in those two magical decades, there are quite a few bangers, even including 6-Player online multiplayer with Rollback Netcode, console, arcade and handheld versions, and a museum feature.

And Silver Surfer.

MARVEL MaXimum Collection launches March 27 on basically everything, with a physical copy available for preorder that comes with sticker sheet, foil cover AND BOOKLET.

It really is the 90s!
