MARVEL MaXimum Collection is an admirable compilation of 90s comics nostalgia.
I don’t know what the process was that picked the games that went into the MARVEL MaXimum Collection but I feel like I need to call in a welfare check because there’s no reason to force Silver Surfer onto the masses in the year of 2026.
But in all seriousness, this is a solid collection of 90s Marvel games that range from iconic to awful across several platforms. X-Men: The Arcade Game still hasn’t seen many official home releases after all these years, so getting it here is a rare treat. All of the games run great, and the package even has a decent selection of museum materials, so it’s hard not to suggest it to nostalgic fans and collectors.
That being said I never want to lay my eyes on Arcade’s Revenge on the Game Gear (or any other platform for that matter) ever again in my life.
