Team SideQuesting chooses their favorite products from PAX East 2026!
PAX East 2026 has come and gone, and we’re happy to say that the gaming industry is in safe hands — at least when it comes to innovation and cool stuff to play. Our on-site Editors, Dali, Sam, J.J. and Taylor, got together on our last day and chopse our favorites from the expo, and are already circling dates to get our hands on them again!
Please enjoy SIdeQuesting’s PAX EAST 2026 TEAM CHOICE AWARDS!
Poly Fighter
Poly Fighter, a rogue-like one-v-one fighting game, may end up solving the woes of the single player fighting game void when it launches later this year.
Cell to Singularity
We may have missed this novel incremental game in the past, but after our hands-on at PAX East we’re utterly hooked.
Throwback! Jai-Alai Heroes
The team got to go hands-on with the incredible Throwback: Jai-Alai Heroes arcade cabinet at PAX East 2026 and are now trying to figure out how to buy one for the office. Or maybe buy several.
Grave Seasons
Solving murders, digging up corpses, and planting gardens? It’s a wild mix, but Grave Seasons makes it work.
Awaysis
Awaysis puts physics, motion and speed front and center in a nostalgia-fueled isometric co-op adventure, and it really gets us moving.
OVR Technology Omara
The Omara brings a whole new sense to gaming by extending and pulling at the edges instead of overpowering us with scent.
BRAZILIAN DRUG DEALER BEFORE 4: DEMONS FROM THE PORTAL TO HELL I OPENED ARE STILL IN THE FAVELA AND NOW I HAVE TO SAVE MAMADAS FROM RONALDO
I’ve always found the genre boomer-shooters to be a weird double entendre referring to both explosively fast gameplay and its association with an older style of shooter. BRAZILIAN DRUG DEALER BEFORE 4 certainly is fast, but calling it old-school might make you look like a boomer.

Replaced
The 2D cincematic cyber punk future is here, and it’s pretty incredible.

Congrats to ALL of our awards recipients above, and definitely check out the write-ups and videos of each!
