Microsoft’s next big PlayStation 5 game, Halo: Campaign Evolved, now has a release date. Announced during the Xbox Games Showcase the new game will land on the platform on July 28th, 2026.

For those wondering if the game could do more than just graphically brush it up, the answer is MORE CONTENT. As revealed in the trailer below the game will arrive with new prequel missions, dubbed Operation: Meteorite. The three-mission arc will star Sgt Johnson and Master Chief as they take on a Covenant vessel and new enemies, all taking place before and leading up to the opening of Halo. It’ll even incorporate space flight aspects, too!

More info on the game’s updated narrative has been revealed in a brand new cinematic trailer, released today. It looks like Halo!

Those that preorder the Premium Edition or Collector’s Edition will get to play the game 5 days early.

The game is also launching for Xbox and PC on the same date.
