Kingdom Hearts IV lives, and we finally got some gameplay

The Kingdom is back across all platforms

In a bit of a shocking twist, it was Nintendo that debuted the newest update for Kingdom Hearts IV. The game is now coming to Switch 2, in other words, alongside previously announced platforms.

The trailer doesn’t give us TOO much information, but it does tantalize with actual gameplay. In it we see the modern Quadratum, with Sora taking on the Heartless. Sora has a bit of a different look, so start the conspiracy theories (cc: Zach, Taylor and Tyler).

There’s no release date yet, but KH4 is coming to Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.

Square Enix also announced Kingdom Hearts Collection [I ~ III], yet another collection of the games in the series. It will, for the first time, bring together KINGDOM HEARTS – HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIXKINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind (DLC) in native versions for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC. It’ll launch on October 8, 2026.
