Baito Fight!!: Part-time Devil Hunter has us working on our day off

A life sim devil hunting turn based RPG that flows in real time

Any time we can add novel game ideas to some of our favorite game genres we’re instantly intrigued. That’s the case with the upcoming Baito Fight!!: Part-time Devil Hunter by King of Shibuya. (Why does that name sound familiar? Oh wait, they earned one of our shout-outs on GMVG!) It’s distinctive style is immediately what might get our attention, but it’s that genre combo that is pulling me in more.

The game has us playing as Anansi, a former baseball player that just wants to retire in peace. Unfortunately for us, the apartment we’ve moved into is becoming infested with devils, and it’s now up to us to clear them out. It’ll use turn-based combat, and we can spend our hard-earned coinage at convenience stores, but the life sim aspect seems like a pretty cool addition. In the case here we have to meet with and cultivate relationships with the other tenants, try to pay off our rent, and handle our livelihood. And because of a nifty time feature, the game’s days will move forward in real time, so as we play every day, there may be new things that pop up as the clock changes and the other tenants g about their lives.
