God of War Laufey arrives in February, 2027

Laufey’s getting her soul (and disc!) next year

At its San Diego Comic Con panel today, Sony revealed the launch date for its upcoming God of War sequel. God of War Laufey, which stars Kratos’s love interest Faye as she journeys through an afterlife full of other gods, will arrive on February 16, 2027. That may be a lot sooner than many think (not yours truly, as I had it pegged for late this year/early next, I get to brag a bit!)

This is good news regardless, because it does flesh out the upcoming slate for Sony, which was in dire need of exclusives other than Wolverine and Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. It also means that the game will arrive on disc, something that was in danger of happening had it started to shift into 2028.
