Onimusha pulls release date forward to get out of September mess

Finally some breathing room for VIDEO GAMES

Fun Fact: September is nuts. VERY nuts. REALLY FUCKING NUTS. If it seems like every game is launching then, it’s probably because it is! As developers and publishers try to get out of the way of digital-only Grand Theft Auto VI’s 5-mile fallout radius in November that unfortunately means that everything was pushed into September, and all of it seemed to land on those last two weeks.

Well the Fine Folks at CAPCOM, whom you may have heard of from such hits as Resident Evil and Monster Hunter, are for the second time this year pushing a game’s release date FORWARD. First, Pragmata jumped ahead a couple of weeks in April, and now the new game to follow suit is Onimusha: Way of the Sword. The next big game from the publisher, which we’ve enjoyed every time we’ve seen it, is now moving from September 25 to September 4, three whole giant weeks ahead of where it was.

That’s VERY GOOD NEWS as we try to make sense of what games we’re going to play and when for the rest of the year.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
