There’s clearly some evil in this residence
The first trailer for Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil movie is here, and it opens on a resident at a hospital and ends with evil at a residence.
It’s self-referential!
Anyhoo, we were curious about how Cregger (of Weapons and Barbarian fame) would approach the IP, knowing that he’s aiming for a story within the game’s universe but not a retelling of the games — and it looks pretty terrifying, truth be told.
The trailer features organ delivery from a hospital that goes terribly wrong, includes a panicky way to find bullets, and focuses on a strange cabin in the woods.
So far, so good with the mood, Zach.
Resident Evil lands in theaters in September.
