Lo and behold, Disney and Square Enix have DELIVERED. Not only did we get the Kingdom Hearts IV “Coco” trailer yesterday, today the companies debuted an extended version with A LOT more information!
In the trailer we see King Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, now all playable! Don and Goof even have a cool sled-style section, while Mickey has been given a whole Paper Mario-like addition that has him as a sort of papercraft character and even a 2D platforming area.
And Riku! We get a bit more of a look at him as the trailer closes.
And perhaps the most important news: the game IS DEFINITELY coming in 2027. The development team, Tai Yasue in particular, made it a point that the game was “100%” coming in 2027, meaning that it’s likely nearing the final stages of completion. Could we see it earlier in the year? Let’s hope!
