Rumors are circulating like wildfire on the internet today on the “confirmation” that 1UP is receiving about the oft-mentioned Sony PSP revision.  Dubbed the “PSP GO!” the system is said to be UMD-less, with configuartions of an 8GB or 16GB internal HDD.  The removal of the UMD will allow for a thinner system — perhaps the “slider” concept that we continue to hear references of in back alleys and NWO meetings.  While Sony is rumored to be removing the UMD, over 100 “classic” PSP games will be released for download via the PSN store or WiFi kiosks at your favorite mall gaming depot.  FuncoLand, we miss you so.

According to their sources, the GO! will be unveiled at E3 this year.  And since SideQuesting will be in attendance we’ll do our best to get our (more than likely) greasy, sweaty hands on the system.

This is all just “Rumor and Speculation” though, so take the info with a grain of salt until sometime on June 2nd.
