Giveaway: Win Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection for the Xbox 360 [Update]

Win Mortal Kombat

[UPDATE: Winners are Arthur Moy (website), Paul K (website), and @Candygamerchic (Twitter)]

There’s a new-ish Mortal Kombat game releasing this week! Well it’s MK9, now shipping for the PS Vita. We’ve heard some good things about it, too. That’s why we’re giving away some klassic Mortal Kombat action to help you celebrate! Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection was released last year, letting us relive the action of some of the most popular MK arcade games that we grew up with in the 90s.

We have three wonderful codes for the XBLA version up for grabs, and YOU could win one of them! We’re offering three chances, too! Just leave up to one comment per day starting today, May 1st, and ending Friday, May 4th at 11:59PM Pacific time telling us what your favorite Mortal Kombat series finishing move is. You can ALSO win via Twitter! Follow @SideQuesting on Twitter and tweet the following message:

RT and follow @SideQuesting to win a copy of Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection! http://bit.ly/IFqHlf  #SQMK

  1. Day 1: My favorite Mortal Kombat series finishing move involves using Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat II. First you have to be transform into Sub-Zero and do his Deep-Freeze move (Part 1 of 2 of his Fatality) and then transform into Kitana and perform her Kiss of Death while your opponent is frozen solid! m/

  2. Day 1: How can I NOT go with Sonya Blade’s Flame Kiss from the first MK!?
“I guess I’ll have to do this the hard way”

  3. Day 1) Well, I had a variant of the Sub-Zero Deep freeze fatality in MK II, I over-froze my openent by doing the normal freeze ray after the stronger one from the fatality. Results: The character had a mixture of both pixelated skins, showing him like “over-frozen” (I just came up w/ the term but I liked it), then you just came and blow him to pieces with an uppercut (2nd part of the fatality).

  4. I think mine will always be the original Sub-Zero spine rip… I just loved the brutality and the commotion it caused :)

  5. Day 1: Tame by today’s standards but Kano ripping out your spine in the original. Isn’t that what ticked all parents off around the world in the first place?

  6. Day 1: Cyrax’s Internal Grinder. Just watching it makes my stomach churn.

    Entry 1 (May 2) – @liljrSanchez

Out of all the fatalities in Mortal Kombat, my favorite is none other than Smokes! Instead of only killing the other player, he takes the entire world along with him. You know… Blows up Earth?! It’s only a few button combos too! ;P Doesn’t get much better than that.

  11. Day 2 (May 2nd): My favorite Mortal Kombat series finishing move involves using Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat II. First you have to be transform into Sub-Zero and do his Deep-Freeze move (Part 1 of 2 of his Fatality) and then transform into Kitana and perform her Kiss of Death while your opponent is frozen solid! m/

One more time, I’m going with the spine rip.

  25. Dawn of the final day… I mean night of the final day (Day 4) – before the moon crashes – :
I’m going with the move that is considered a finishing move if you fail your Fatality (or if you don’t know any Fatality at all)…. the award goes to…. THE NORMAL UPPERCUT!!!
Making you look cool if you don’t know the finishing moves.
