It’s another year of Summer gaming STUFF and that means that we’re back with a sort of list of things to do in and around Los Angeles during VIDEO GAME WEEK! While gaming’s giant expo years in the US are pretty much gone, that doesn’t mean that people don’t still gather. And where there’s a party there’s us, SideQuesting, to let you know about it.

We’ll update this list just as often as we see things coming in!

So get that networking fit on and get top LA for the next couple of weeks!

  • Info: The MIX Showcases help raise visibility for developers and publishers from around the world through online and in person formats, including a Steam event page for games in both the online and onsite showcases. The onsite showcase on June 5th, starting at 5 PM Pacific Time, will be hosted at the Grammy Museum Rooftop in Los Angeles and offers an amazing in-person destination for those in the area to play games, connect with developers, and enjoy complimentary food and drinks.

With hundreds of vendors offering video games, collectibles, anime, and more, there’s something for everyone!

  • Genshin Impact Skating On Ice!

  • Info: Genshin Impact cosplay and ice-skating merge to create a fun and unique winter wonderland experience! At 1pm, before the skating event, we will have a Genshin Impact Cosplay Gathering. The cosplay gathering is open to the public. You DO NOT need to participate in the skating event to attend the gathering. We will be using the opportunity to interact with fellow Genshin enthusiasts.

Monday, June 8

  • The Gayming Awards 2026

  • Info: It’s the premiere of the Gayming Awards 2026, a celebration of the best of queer geek culture with an all star drag afterparty! After party hosted by Lawrie Bird featuring live performances by Joey Jay (RPDR All Stars 11), Dawn (RPDR All Stars 11), Kerri Colby DJ set (RPDR All Stars 10), Rock M Sakura (RPDR Season 12), Phantom, Nova Necrophiliac, Scythe, Whorror Show live drag band ft Astrud Aurelia & Til Dusk DJ set. The profit from ticket sales will benefit the Gayming Foundation and support its mission to uplift and empower LGBTQ+ games workers and fans to affect change, celebrate inclusivity, and drive forward representation in games & esports.
