Nintendo’s Eiji Aonuma revealed the next Zelda today during Nintendo’s E3 Digital Event. The game is designed around the concept of a a completely open world. Can you see a mountain? You can go there. It’s kind of the Skyrim way of thinking, yeah?

Open world allows for unique ways to solve problems, puzzles and enter areas. In the past, Nintendo had designed Zelda to have smaller “rooms” to simulate an open world. In Zelda for Wii U the world is completely open, and moving between areas will be incredibly important.

The scene — which featured some gorgeous artwork seemingly inspired by Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess. As an enemy appeared on screen and begins firing eye lasers, Link (on horseback) gallops away, chased by the beast.

The final shot ends with Link aiming his bow at the eye of the beast, in true dramatic video game trailer fashion.

Look for Zelda to arrive on Wii U in 2015.
