Three One Zero announces Adr1ft, a space floating experience

This one took us a little by surprise. At last night’s Game Awards, developer Three One Zero debuted the first trailer for ADR1FT. Labeled an FPX (First Person Experience) much like Portal or Alien Isolation, the new game takes place from a first person viewpoint as a lone survivor drifts through space. Amnesiac, the survivor has no idea how he/she came in to the situation, only that they’re in great peril and need to survive or escape.

Yes, this is basically the plot of Gravity, sans Sandra Bullock. The player makes his/her way through the wreckage and debris of a damaged space station sometime in the near future, with a slowly leaking space suit and no help around.

There isn’t much we know about ADR1FT, except that it’ll focus on the immersion and feeling of being lost and alone in space. And it looks really nice. Giants shots of the Earth as we float around near-space? Yes, please.

The game is set to release in 2015 for PS4, Xbox One, Oculus Rift (YESSSSS!) and Steam.
