E3 2015: Xbox One becoming backwards compatible with Xbox 360 games

Announced at Microsoft’s E3 press conference, the Xbox One will soon be backwards compatible with Xbox 360 titles. Coming this fall, players will be able to run both digital and physical copies of Xbox 360 titles natively on the Xbox One. Developers need not to do anything to get their titles prepared for the service, just allow Microsoft to offer them in that fashion. More details will be shared in the coming months, but it was mentioned that using retail discs would required users to download a version of that game online before they could start playing. A selection of Xbox 360 titles are available for members of the Xbox One preview program to try today.
