The countdown clock on a Namco Bandai site is finally over and Tales of Zestiria is the name of the latest in the long-standing Japanese RPG series. Tales of Zestiria will be released alongside the 20th anniversary in 2015 for the PS3.
That is right, not only do we have to wait more than a year, but we have to keep our PS3’s around for a little longer. The good news is, according to a press release, that Tales of Zestiria already confirmed to be localized for the United States and Europe. Namco Bandai sites the growing popularity of their other Tales Of games on the PS3 in these territories and this is the first in the series to be announced as a “worldwide title.”
Recently Hideo Baba behind the series asked fans for their favorite parts of the series, the main question concerning which combat system was the best for the series. As astute fans can tell, the trailer above seems to be most like Tales of Grace’ combat system but there is hope that everything fans love about the series will be seen in this game. The press release mentioning going back to the roots of the series and that is the real reason to keep that PS3 around for another year.
